Deuce ("we", "us", "our") is an activity-based social platform operated from Bangalore, India. Our mission is to connect people through shared interests and real-world experiences — sports, arts, food, music, and more. This Privacy Policy applies to our website at playdeuce.in and all Deuce mobile applications.
By using Deuce, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
What We Collect and Why
We collect information to make Deuce work — to help you find the right people and activities, keep the community safe, and make the experience better over time. Here's what we collect:

We do not collect sensitive categories of personal data such as race, religion, health conditions, sexual orientation, or biometric data unless you explicitly provide this as part of your profile and consent to it.
What We Do With It
We use your information for the following purposes, all aimed at making Deuce the best possible platform for genuine human connection:
Running the service: Creating your account, showing you relevant people and activities, facilitating connections, and sending you notifications about matches and events.
Personalisation: Learning from your activity preferences and behaviour patterns to surface the most relevant content — so if you love badminton and hiking, you'll see more of that.
Safety and trust: Verifying identities, detecting fake profiles and scammers, investigating reports, and enforcing our Community Guidelines. A safe Deuce is a better Deuce.
Communications: Sending you service updates, match notifications, and (with your permission) promotional messages about new features or events in your city.
Analytics and improvement: Understanding how the platform is used so we can fix problems, build better features, and grow sustainably.
Legal compliance: Meeting our obligations under Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable data protection regulations.
What we never do: We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you ads from other companies. Deuce is and will remain ad-free in our own products.
Who Sees Your Data
We share your information only in the circumstances below. We do not sell or rent your data.
Other Deuce users: Your profile (name, photos, activity interests, bio) is visible to other members as part of the core Deuce experience. Your contact details and precise location are never shared with other users without your explicit action.
Service providers: We work with trusted third-party companies who help us run Deuce — for example cloud hosting (AWS), communication tools (Twilio), analytics (Mixpanel), and customer support software. These providers only process your data on our behalf and under strict contractual obligations.
Law enforcement: We may disclose data when required by Indian law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public. We will notify you where legally permitted to do so.
Business transfers: If Deuce is acquired or merges with another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance and give you the option to delete your account.
How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer (for example, transaction records or safety-related data).
Messages you've sent to other users may remain visible to those users even after you delete your account. We recommend deleting your conversations before closing your account if you wish to remove this content.
Waitlist data collected on playdeuce.in will be retained until the Deuce app launches, after which you will be invited to create a full account. You can request deletion of your waitlist data at any time by emailing [email protected].

Deuce Is For Adults
Deuce is strictly for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data.
If you believe a minor has signed up for Deuce, please report it immediately to [email protected]. We take this seriously and will act promptly.
How We Protect Your Data
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. This includes HTTPS encryption on all data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields, access controls limiting which team members can access user data, and regular security reviews of our systems.
While we work hard to protect your data, no system is completely infallible. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable Indian law.
Updates and Notifications
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Deuce grows and evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the app or website at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of Deuce after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
