How we treat
each other here

Deuce was built on the belief that genuine connection happens when people feel safe to show up as themselves. These guidelines are how we protect that.

🤝 Be Real
💛 Be Kind
🎯 Be Intentional
🔒 Be Safe

Deuce is for people who want to connect through what they love — not just who they appear to be. That kind of connection is only possible when everyone feels safe, respected, and free to be themselves. These guidelines apply to everyone on Deuce, including our team. If you wouldn't do it on a tennis court with a new acquaintance, don't do it on Deuce.

🪞

Be Authentic

Deuce works because people show up as themselves. Real photos, real interests, real intentions.

Do
  • Use your real name and recent photos that clearly show your face
  • Be honest about your activity interests and skill level
  • Represent your intentions clearly — whether you're looking for a running partner, a new friend, or something more
  • Keep your profile up to date as your interests evolve
Don't
  • Use someone else's photos or create a fictional identity
  • Misrepresent your age, location, or who you are in any material way
  • Maintain multiple accounts on Deuce
  • Use Deuce to represent a business, brand, or organisation without permission
Why this matters: Everyone on Deuce is here hoping to meet genuine people. Fake profiles waste their time and damage trust for the whole community.

💛

Treat Everyone with Respect

The Deuce community includes people from every background, city, skill level, and walk of life. That diversity is a feature, not a bug.

Do
  • Treat every interaction as you would face-to-face: with warmth and basic human decency
  • Accept when someone isn't interested, and move on gracefully
  • Respect different skill levels — everyone starts somewhere
  • Celebrate the diversity of our community across cities, backgrounds, and interests
Don't
  • Harass, bully, or send unwanted or repeated messages to anyone
  • Use slurs, hate speech, or discriminatory language based on gender, religion, caste, race, sexuality, or disability
  • Contact someone who has blocked or unmatched you through any other channel
  • Demean or mock anyone for their appearance, background, or interests

🛡️

Keep the Community Safe

Safety is the foundation of everything Deuce is meant to be. This is our most important category of guidelines.

Do
  • Report any profile or behaviour that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable
  • Block users who are bothering you — we'll never tell them you blocked them
  • Meet new connections in public places for initial meetups
  • Let someone you trust know your plans when meeting a Deuce connection in person
Don't
  • Zero tolerance: Share, solicit, or reference child sexual abuse material in any form
  • Make threats of violence, self-harm, or harm to others
  • Share another person's private information (address, phone number, photos) without their consent
  • Use Deuce to stalk, surveil, or track another person's movements
Absolute zero tolerance: Content that sexualises or endangers children will result in immediate permanent banning and will be reported to Indian law enforcement authorities without exception.

🎯

Use Deuce as It's Intended

Deuce is for genuine social connection through shared activities — not for spam, scams, or solicitation.

Do
  • Use Deuce to connect with people around shared activities you genuinely enjoy
  • Organise real-world meetups, games, and group activities
  • Recommend activities and venues you've personally experienced
  • Give honest, helpful feedback if you're running a community event
Don't
  • Use Deuce to sell products, services, or run any commercial operation
  • Solicit money or financial help from other users in any form
  • Attempt to recruit users into MLM schemes, religious organisations, or political groups
  • Send copy-paste mass messages or use automated tools to interact with users

🌿

Content Standards

Deuce is an activity-focused platform. What you share should reflect that energy — real, positive, and activity-first.

Do
  • Share photos that genuinely represent you and your interests
  • Post content related to activities you enjoy or want to try
  • Celebrate other people's wins, achievements, and milestones
  • Keep profile content family-friendly — Deuce is viewed across many contexts
Don't
  • Post nudity, sexually explicit content, or content that is gratuitously provocative
  • Share graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Post content that glorifies or promotes drug use, illegal activity, or dangerous behaviour
  • Use your profile to spread misinformation, political propaganda, or conspiracy content

When guidelines are broken

We review every report and take action proportionate to the severity and context of each violation. Here's how we typically respond:

01
Warning
For first-time or minor violations, we'll notify you, explain what was wrong, and give you the opportunity to correct it.
02
Temporary Suspension
Repeated violations or more serious breaches result in a temporary account suspension while we investigate.
03
Permanent Ban
Severe violations — especially anything involving harm to others, minors, or fraud — result in permanent removal. No appeals.

See something? Say something.

Reporting keeps Deuce safe for everyone. We review every report and will never share your identity with the person you've reported. It takes less than 60 seconds.

Staying safe when you meet up

Deuce is about real-world connection. Here are our tips for staying safe when you take things offline for the first time.

📍

Meet in public first

Choose a well-populated public venue — a café, a sports complex, a park — for your first meeting. Don't share your home address with anyone you've just met.

📣

Tell someone you trust

Let a friend or family member know who you're meeting, where, and when. Drop them a message when you arrive and when you leave safely.

🚗

Arrange your own transport

For the first few meetings, make your own way there and back. Having your own ride means you can leave whenever you want, no questions asked.

🧠

Trust your gut

If something doesn't feel right — about a profile, a message, or an in-person meeting — trust that instinct and remove yourself from the situation. Your safety is always more important than being polite.

💬

Keep early chats on Deuce

Until you're comfortable, keep your conversations within the app. Sharing your personal phone number or social handles too early can make it harder to block someone if you need to.

🛑

Never send money

If anyone on Deuce asks you for money, gift cards, or financial help for any reason — this is a scam. Block them and report immediately.
